A Common Bond

I thought I'd take a minute to write about the intense bond between a horse and its person.

We've all felt it. In those gentle moments as you turn them loose to run in the paddock, when they stop to nuzzle your cheek in affection. When you get on to ride and just fell that click, and know that you're exactly where you belong. This is the bond.

There is nothing so magical as a horse's love for you. Some horses are right for some people, and not for others. Sometimes a horse starts out as a perfect fit, and as time goes on you realize its not the same anymore. A horse can be your best friend, so long as you let them and nourish the love.

These are amazing creatures, and we are privileged to be allowed onto their backs. Go out today and just be with your horse. Don't ask for work, don't ask for their attention. Just be with them. See what happens.
